Jetta Tdi Boost Gauge Install

Jetta Tdi Boost Gauge Install Rating: 6,0/10 1381 reviews

P3 Digital gauges provide the highest level of OEM integration and color match offering more features than any other gauges in their segment. Starting at a price competitive to single feature old-school needle gauges, they offer unmatched feature to price ratio. All gauge models include an on-the-fly configuration menu for setting units (BAR/PSI for boost), as well as feature options, and ambient calibration. Specifically designed to support the Mk6 Jetta TDI sedan. Unlike the P3 VIDI gauges, this gauge does not use the diagnostics port, and requires a boost tap for installation.

Aug 24, 2011 I have looked on the internet on how to install a boost gauge in my jetta finaly I got the info and was happy.

You my be the first to do this on a 2010. I've been wanting to install a boost gauge too.

But have not taken the time to actually do it. I'll be honest. It was a lot tougher than the place I bought it from states. I'm a tech at a dealer too I bought the gauge and center vent pod from CIM. Good price and nice gauge, total was about $150. Had to do all the wiring and boost line running yourself with the supplied materials.

If you dont have a clue about how your car is wired or put together don't bother because it sent me for a loop with there elementary and extreme vague instructions. Im considering contacting them about how I wasnt happy with the setup. Luckily I'm a perfectionist and got everything wired up and put together properly. If anyone is anywhere around me and want a boost gauge I'd be willing to help out and write a DIY. Let me know I'll try to post a picture if I can figure out how! I am going to install my boost and EGT tomorrow. Wondering if anyone knows a good place to tap for the egt gauge at all?

I think i will be taping the boost behind the egr also. Any help would be greatly appriciated. You probably already know, but if you tap into the emissions stuff, they'll probably void you're waranty if you have any any emissions problems. New DPF and other stuffs cost quite a penny. Other than that, i'd say best spot would be right behind the dpf, as this would show when you're doing an active regen when your car calls for it. You'd also see what operating conditions it'd perform a passive regen.

(high sustained EGT's without a post combustion injection, such as climbing a nice big long hill at 75) All this information is availble via the ECU, it's just how you get the information that's the issue, people are working on it. Thanks i was also talking to a vw tech up in Illinois and he said go to the side of the O2 sensor that is just after the turbo. What do you think of that? The only reason i dont want to go right after the dpf is cause i dont know if that is a hollow tube there or if it has a honey comb like pipe on the inside for more emissions stuff. Do you have one and is it installed there?
