A consumer grade laptop has been working fine for me with tis2web, gm si, and SPS. Only thing that doesn’t work is GDS 2.
GM Is not willing to have to spend the time and money to help techs with using windows 8. If everyone has to use windows 7 it’s easier for their support team. My consumer grade laptop cost me $900, it has 16gb ram, 1tb memory, and a 4th gen i7 processor. If I had to get one like that from gesolutions it would cost about $4000-6000. No thank you, just do the techs a favor and start getting with the new technology out there today.
